How the 8th Pay Commission salary calculator works
This calculator compares your current 7th CPC in-hand salary with your projected 8th Pay Commission salary, side by side. Pick your pay level and cell from the official 7th CPC pay matrix, choose a fitment factor, select your city class and DA rate, and every component is recalculated instantly: basic pay, dearness allowance (DA), house rent allowance (HRA), transport allowance (TA) with DA on TA, NPS contribution, CGHS, professional deductions and income tax (TDS).
Your projected 8th CPC basic pay is your current 7th CPC basic pay multiplied by the fitment factor. The default 1.92× fitment factor reflects the widely discussed estimate: DA of about 60% merged into basic pay (1.60×) plus a real increase of about 20%. Move the slider anywhere from 1.83× to 2.86× to see other scenarios.
All 8th Pay Commission figures are estimates for planning until the Commission's recommendations are accepted and notified by the Government of India. 7th CPC figures follow the current DoPT, Department of Expenditure and CBDT rules.

What is the expected fitment factor for the 8th Pay Commission?

What will the minimum basic pay be under the 8th CPC?
At a 1.92× fitment factor, the minimum basic pay of ₹18,000 would rise to about ₹34,560. At 2.57× (the 7th CPC factor) it would be ₹46,260. The final figure depends on the fitment factor the Government approves.
