About this calculator
House Rent Allowance (HRA) is a percentage of basic pay that depends on the class of the city you are posted in. The rate goes up when DA crosses 25% and 50%.

The rule it uses
HRA Slab Revision Rule: Even though HRA percentage resets from 30/20/10% to 24/16/8% when DA resets to 0% in the 8th CPC, your actual rupee HRA increases because it is calculated on the 1.92× higher 8th CPC Basic Pay.
